The following should be used as guidelines for what is and what isn’t acceptable in terms of advertiser type, copy and, photographs. Please contact the Directors of
K-Plus Media if you require any further clarifications about our advertising contents acceptable.
CONTENTS NOT ACCEPTABLE
Highly sensitive subjects such as illness and political issues will be critically reviewed and edited before we can advertise it.
MISCELLANEOUS:
• Traumatic, emotionally distressing, or violent photographs or copy.
• Items that campaign against other parties e.g.(particular business, individual or property).
• Imitation or recreation of other parties’ Motion/ Static Ads. in any shape or form.
• Political campaign ads
• Fear campaigns
• Clinical research studies
• Ads that include profanity
all ads currently on screen may continue) SEXUAL:
• Images or copy referring to sexual preferences or containing sexual connotations
• Content with sexual overtones and nudity.
• Adult book COPYRIGHT:
• Use of copyright restricted materials including: celebrity names, pictures, titles, famous quotes, names of specific characters, and songs
• Any copyright permissions must be provided by the client to K-Plus media.
TYPES OF ADVERTISING WITH CONTENT RESTRICTIONS: NIGHT CLUBS:
• No images with provocative dancing, dress, or the like
• No images of people consuming alcohol, alcohol being served, or of the bar displaying various bottles of liquor in the background
VIDEO RENTAL STORES:
• No mention of video stores selling or renting “X”-rated movies SPORTING GOOD STORES:
• No mention or display of guns or weapons in use
• Paintball imagery must clearly be for paintball purposes only LAWYERS: • No images depicting divorce, personal injury, jail, or car accidents CHURCHES
• Ads can not contain religious icons other than in the logo (e.g. Cross, Christian fish symbol, Star of David) BARS AND RESTAURANTS:
• Alcohol can only be advertised when it is accompanied with food
• No mention of price points or price specials
• No imagery or mention of specific brand names or logos
NB: Anything not mentioned here may be acceptable but may be reviewed before we put them on screen for public viewing.
PROVIDING MATERIAL FOR AD CREATION:
ACCEPTABLE MATERIALS:
• Logos printed at minimum of 1.5 x 1.5 inches or as digital files
• Acceptable file types are:
TIFF, PDF, PSD, EPS, AI
• Photos 4 x 6 to 8 x 12 inches in size
• Negatives, slides, or transparencies
• 3 Megapixel or larger digital images
• Acceptable file types are: TIFF, PDF, PSD, EPS, AI
• Professionally printed brochures
• Miscellaneous printed items such as: Letterheads, Menus, Hand Illustrations, etc.
• Sound Files
• Acceptable file types are: WAV, AIFF, MP3, MP4
• Acceptable media types are: Electronic Files, Data CD, DAT tape
• BetaSP tapes (for digital markets only)
UNACCEPTABLE MATERIALS:
• Polaroid photos
• Negatives from 110 film
• Digital images smaller than 3 Megapixels
• The following file types: JPEG, GIF, BMP
• VHS tapes
• Audio cassette tapes
• DigiBeta tapes
• PowerPoint and Microsoft Word documents
PROVIDING A COMPLETE DIGITAL AD:
Ad size should be set up as 27.4x15.4 inches (1366x768 pixels) with a resolution of 300 dpi. All text needs to be 1/2 inch from the edge to leave room for the slide mount. If you are setting it up in Photoshop, please leave it in layers to make future adjustments easier. Other acceptable formats are: TIF, PDF, EPS, or AI.
PROVIDING A COMPLETE DIGITAL AD:
